Congratulations to Team Daytona 1 Racer West Webb for winning the 2024 NHRA Southeast Division 8.90 Championship
NHRA Jr. Dragster driver Westin “West” Parker Webb of Veazey, Georgia, has made his mark in the racing world by securing his first-ever NHRA Southeast Division 2, 8.90 Championship. The championship win took place on September 15, 2024, during the NHRA Division 2 Bracket Finals at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Cecil, Georgia. This victory is a significant milestone in West's racing career, as he competed against a large, competitive field of racers from Florida, South Carolina, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Puerto Rico.
West's impressive performance not only earned him a $500 prize but also the coveted Wally trophy, which symbolizes his hard-earned victory. This is West's second Wally in his young racing career, demonstrating his growing dedication and talent within the sport.
In recognition of his achievement, West has been invited to attend the 2024 Championship Awards Banquet in Marietta, Georgia, on January 18th, where he will give a speech highlighting his racing accomplishments to date.
